The Parterre convex mirror is all about the colors green. Several shades of green Venetian glass were used on the frame that is gilded with gold and silver. The tips of the rays are oval cat’s eye glass.

The Parterre mirror was influenced by the fantastic Baroque gardens that flourished in the 17th century. Parterres are decorative patterns created by clipped boxwood. The clipping not only create the geometric boarders of flower gardens but also patterns based on embroidery and damasks.
